Perwira Niaga Malaysia (Armed Forces Trading Corporation of Malaysia) in short, PERNAMA, is a wholly owned corporation of Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (Armed Forces Fund Board). By virtue of Section 23 of the Tabung Angkatan Tentera Act 1973, PERNAMA is to carry out the business activities relating to retail, wholesale, distribution, import-export, hire-purchase of goods and provision of management services.

2) Locally manufactured goods exempted from excise duties and sales tax.

Fifteen (15) categories of goods exempted from duties and taxes are controlled products. Each member of the Malaysian Armed Forces is entitled to buy only one unit of controlled product in every three years.
